*Possible Spoilers
while we’re on the subject (we weren’t) — how in the hell has no one (that wasn’t in X-Force) at the Jean Grey School NOT FUCKING INQUIRED into what actually happened to Warren during the whole Dark Angel saga…you know, when he doesn’t remember ever being Warren and he’s basically not even the same person?
How is Beast okay with letting Wolverine get away with that no questions asked, and yet they keep giving Cyclops all this shit. This is what’s bothering me about the way the writers are dealing with this whole situation. Too many double standards and hypocrisy.
PS — I’m glad original Angel went over to the Cyke’s side.

ionlywatchbecauseofyou:

God bless you, Internet. My childhood thanks you. Today, while meandering through the internet, I landed on the webpage of Joe Jusko and immediately, all the memories I had of collecting superhero cards as a kid came rushing back. I literally spent the next hour clicking from card to card and series to series. I’d love nothing more than to post all of them here on IOWBoU, but there’s a crap-ton of them, and it’d take all the joy out of rediscovering them for yourselves… So I say this, click over to http://www.comiccovers.com for yourself and have a look see at all the cards you probably fanned through every chance you got!

ComicCovers.com has all the Marvel Masterpiece cards from series 1-3, they also have Marvel Universe 1-4, and the X-Men cards from 94, 96, and 97.

It’s like having them all over again, except this time, I don’t have to worry about my little brothers stealing them and attaching them to their spokes.

CM

Still have all of these along with my baseball cards.

“Um. Am I supposed to be able to do that?”

I need his new powers defined. ‘Cuz I read this and I need MORE!

darksideofambition:

future xmen archangel, rogue colossus , captain britian, night crawler deadpool

I still want to see this.

“Then and now” by Kris Anka

Sadly, how far they’ve come.
Jean / dead, or ascended — whichever you like to think
Hank / being a jerk to ALL his oldest friends, and a hypocrite at that
Warren / completely erased and restarted
Scott / treated like an asshole by half the world (and X-writers) even though he is usually right
Bobby / still trying to live up to his (pretty awesome) potential
I guess there’s always the old stories to go back and read through. But it’s sad that their camaraderie is all but lost.

the X-Men issue of Marvels, still has maybe my favourite comic book cover of all time. It’s a beautiful shot of Angel rescuing the mutant girl from the mob. I still think the metaphor of the X-Men is pretty relevant even if the stories have lost a lot of their immediacy. I am sure it still means a lot to any kid that’s different growing up.

Apocalypse pits all of  his Horsemen against each other, testing them to see who of the group is the strongest and most worthy.
