after years and years of re-reading and going through Kingdom Come, through all the little endless details Alex Ross adds to his art — I *just* realized that Scott Free pretty much took over the role of Highfather from Izaya (his father). As can be seen by his robe and the staff. It’s mainly the staff that I hadn’t noticed before.
As much as I love Marvel, Kingdom Come is pretty much perfection. And I love how Scott replaced Highfather and Orion replaced Darkseid. So many little side-plots that would have been amazing by themselves.

I don’t know if he is trying to describe himself as American talent, but I imagine those people overseas actually grasp the concept of the human figure (and hands, and feet, and proportion, and detail, and backgrounds, oh — and that’s just on the art-front). Ugh, what an obnoxious human being. Can you just go reboot AWESOME COMICS and stay in your little corner of the comics-world. I don’t know why any company still hires him.
